Volunteers needed to staff and clean portable shower unit

Volunteers are very much needed to staff and clean the portable shower units. Vallejo Together leader, Francie McInerney is the lead person for this activity and provides training on site.

The portable shower units are provided every Tuesday 11am – 1pm at the Faith Food Friday location at 826 Solano Ave., Vallejo,. and every 2nd Saturday 10am – 1pm at the Christian Help Center, 2166 Sacramento St., Vallejo.

Each homeless person who has an appointment is provided with a hot shower along with soap and shampoo, clean underclothes and socks and towel.

If you are interested in helping with this project, possibly once a month or more often, or have questions, please CONTACT US and we will connect you with Francie McInerney.

Donna Minnick's Memorial Fund used to Help the Homeless

With the blessings of Donna Minnick's family and approval of the memorial committee, bunk beds for the Men's Dormitory at the Christian Help Center  and Solano Dream Center were purchased.  These beds were greatly needed as a Homeless Camp in Vallejo was dismantled at the end of 2020.

CPC Supporting Meals in Vallejo

Last year, the Mission and Outreach Committee of CPC decided  to allocate some of CPC’s mission monies to Vallejo Together’s Thanksgiving meals. Our donation of $2500 helped towards feeding  low-income seniors, families living in their cars, and those Vallejo residents at homeless encampments. Vallejo Together volunteers  delivered meals made by First Baptist Church and a local catering company.
